"Keshotu" is Swahili for "Our Future".  The Keshotu Leadership Academy (KLA) is a performing arts and leadership development program for African Canadian youth who are interested in becoming future leaders.

As a part of the KLA team, you'll bring your talents to the table and create performances and productions from start to finish with the help of your peers and our dedicated facilitators.  You'll have the opportunity to explore your identity and your limitless potential while also delving into different art forms like dance, spoken-word, acting, and musical performance.

We want to equip you in the areas that are crucial for your success and future leadership roles. Find your Voice!

Youth of African Heritage (African, Caribbean, South American, African-American, etc.) ages 13-18 are invited to build leadership skills while exploring aspects of the creative arts.

"Being a part of the Keshotu Leadership Academy was a once in a lifetime experience. I was exposed to aspects of the professional world, given opportunities and put in situations I would have never been a part of if it wasn't for the KLA..." Nasra - 16
